Short answers about Lanefall TD: price, players, devices, accounts and how a match works. The how to play guide has the full rules.
Is Lanefall TD free to play?
Yes. Every mode, every unit and every tower is free, with no subscription. The only things for sale are four cosmetic board themes at $3.99 each, and they never change stats.
Do I need to download anything?
Not on a computer. Lanefall TD runs in any modern browser on desktop, tablet or phone. On iPhone and iPad you can also install the free App Store app.
What is Lanefall TD?
An original line tower wars game. Every player defends the same lane with towers and attacks every other lane by sending units. Each send raises your income for the rest of the match, and the last lane with lives left wins.
How many players can play together?
Two to ten players in one match, seven by default. You can also play solo against bots at three difficulties.
Can I play on mobile or tablet?
Yes. The site and the iPhone and iPad app are built for touch: tap a cell to build, tap a tower to upgrade, and open the barracks from the bottom bar. Keyboard shortcuts work on a computer.
What does income do?
Income pays out as gold every 10 seconds, or every 15 if the lobby votes for it. Every unit you send adds 6 to 11 percent of its cost to your income for good, the moment you send it, whether or not it survives. Pricier sends convert at the better rate.
Can I play solo against bots?
Yes. Pick a bot difficulty from the Play screen. Solo games can run at 1x, 2x or 4x speed.
Do I need to create an account?
No. You can play as a guest straight away. A free account keeps your stats, rank and unlocks across the web and the app.
How does multiplayer handle lag?
Matches run in deterministic lockstep. Every player runs the same simulation and sees the same result, and the server steps it 20 times a second, so a slow connection delays your commands but never changes the outcome.
Can I play with my friends?
Yes. Create a lobby and share its link or 5-letter code. Friends can join as guests, with no account needed, from the web or the app.
What devices and browsers are supported?
Current Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge on desktop, tablet and phone, plus the iPhone and iPad app on iOS 15 or later.
Is there a ranked mode?
Yes. A match counts for rank when every seat is a human player. Games with bots never touch your rank.
Your lane is open.
Solo matches against bots need no account and no download.
